Event Details

In recognition of Baby Loss Awareness Week (9th-15th October) and in partnership with the Miscarriage Association, I am holding a brunch on Sunday 13th October from 11-2pm in Northwest London. I want to unite and bring together those who have experienced their own loss, through a shared love of food in an informal and relaxed environment where those who wish to can talk freely and openly about their experience.

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know there’s nothing I love more than a good brunch, especially when I’ve got great company! And my aim, with the Baby Loss Awareness Brunch is to enjoy some great food amongst the presence of those who have gone through a similar experience to me. I chose to break the silence on our miscarriage, with a view of helping others as I know that my openness has helped me to stay positive. Additionally, the sheer number of women who reached out to me within just 10 hours of me releasing our sad news was a staggering 180. I received such heart-warming messages saying ‘I know how you feel, I’ve had 1 or several miscarriages – it was comforting but at the same time alarming. It was as if a secret society of women were emerging with virtual openness and kindness.

The experience of miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy or molar pregnancy can be devastating. While some women and their partners may move on quite quickly, for many others it is a bereavement, a time of grief and loss for their baby and for the hopes, plans and dreams they had for this new life. The Miscarriage Association provides support and information to anyone affected by miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy or molar pregnancy and aim to push for tangible improvements with regard to pregnancy and baby loss.

This brunch is extremely close to my heart and I would be honoured if you could join me in tucking into some tasty food and helping to raise funds and awareness for such an important cause. There will be everything from smashed avocado, irresistible homemade buckwheat granola, great for grabbing-on-the-go tahini and apricot bars and my famous gluten-free Little Loaf on offer and you’ll even get a goody bag to go! Book your place now to tuck into some delicious food and to unite with others who might feel just as you do – there’s no pressure to share anything to do with your experience, it’s merely an opportunity for us to come together through our shared love of food and spread all-important awareness.

My event will be supporting Miscarriage Association
