What is it?
Welcome to the My Relationship with Food programme. This is an area where I am able to extend my knowledge to you on a personal level with first hand one-to-one tailored guidance. There are two areas of the My Relationship with Food Programme which you may find will help you along your journey. Whether you are struggling to maintain your weight loss and the fear of putting the weight back on is worrying you, or you have recovered from an eating disorder and you are looking to have a healthier relationship with food. If you are looking for lifestyle guidance, my programme may be just right for you. Both programmes are designed to focus solely on your personal growth and development and offer you a chance to grow connected to the choices you make, become more knowledgeable and happier within yourself and your approach to food.
Food Lifestyle Guidance
Most of us want to continute to look and feel healthy and vibrant as we grow older, and to stay active for as long as possible. It’s not always easy to adopt healthier behaviours and maintain them. Life has a habit of getting in the way; we run out of energy, time,money and motivation (you know how it is). Perhaps you’ve set goals in the past and lost motivation – or maybe you’re just not sure where to start. The My Relationship with Food programme shows you how to become more mindful with your food choices. Once you begin to see food differently then you start the process of developing a healthier relationship with food.
Making slight changes to your lifestyle does not have to be deprive you of things you want, it instead finds a way of changing your approach and habits for a lifetime.
With my extensive knowledge of purchasing ingredients – whether it be for vegetarian, vegan, poultry, fish or meat meals – I have the skills to make these recipes tasty without the use of refined ingredients. Based around my ethos, you will develop a lifestyle whereby you will choose to eat less processed foods and enjoy cooking and eating at home more often. You will come to understand that healthy food can taste even better than unhealthy ones. Seeing food in a healthy way will encourage you to prepare and plan your meals.
This new outlook causes the process to become non-stressful and more rewarding.
Working with someone who has been through a similar journey, like myself, allows you to understand what works best. Through working together we can assess your strengths and weaknesses to see what it is that you need to work on to develop a healthier lifestyle.
Lifestyle food coaching is a system that encompasses the whole dietary health approach.
Simple eating and exercise adjustments can make a dramatic change to your health and vitality in a short time span and benefit you for years to come.
Life isn’t perfect, it’s a rollercoaster of the ups and the downs but being able to enjoy the ride is an art that many of us struggle with. One of my key attributes is that I am open, honest and always happy to help and encourage others in making them be the best version of themselves as I know how important it is to feel happy within yourself.
One of the biggest struggles after losing weight is understanding how to maintain it. When it comes to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, people need constant guidance, advice and communication with people who’ve been on a similar journey. Having someone who has been on a similar journey as yourself can help you when you feel unsure about what you can eat, or need motivation. I am available to give you the support.
I am available to help you eat happily and comfortably without thinking about whether you are ‘cheating’ or betraying’ yourself. I will educate you on what foods are good for you and how to easily get hold of them. Healthy cooking and eating is neither hard nor expensive you just need to know how to do it.
There aren’t many options out there for people to encourage and monitor weight loss. I would like to offer this support once you have reached your target weight to ensure that you keep on track to avoid either becoming underweight or putting back on the weight and more.
I will work with you to understand your motivations for losing weight which will then make it much easier to keep it off in the long run. It is also dependent on which process or diet you used to lose the weight in the first place.
We will look at the most likely causes of over-eating in your life whether it be stress eating or emotional eating, and how to avoid these.
I will guide, mentor and empower you to reach your personal goals by giving you motivational support, helping you to understand the connection between food and your moods.
