LISA’S TIP - This savoury tart is a real winner amongst my family and friends and is something that is regularly requested. It’s versatile enough to be served warm or cold as a starter, a light lunch, at a picnic or even at a party and is so easy to make – especially if you use ready rolled puff pastry – and is delicious served alongside a green salad. PLUS you can make it ahead of time (and freeze it if you wish) and it tastes just as delicious when reheated. Don’t be afraid to be adventurous with your fillings – try using red onions or shallots in place of the brown onions, use a different sort of cheese instead of the cheddar (goat’s cheese is delicious as is using a mixture of different ones).
